After 2 Restores: "This Movie Format Is Not Supported."

When the iPhone won't recognize it's own movies, that qualifies as a problem. So, I am currently unable to record video on my iPhone. Some might say, "thank goodness." I hear ya, but I kind of like this feature. Has anyone else out there had this issue? I've been restoring from a backup. Is it possible that I'm simply restoring the same problem over and over?

I'm going to do a restore from scratch and treat it like a new phone and see if it fixes it.

A complete restore from scratch seems to have done the trick. Now I have to restore all of my passwords. Fun.

Well, it appears I have a hardware issue. Looks like a trip to the Apple Store is in order. Video will not work after complete fresh restore and zero non-Apple apps loaded.

Is a trip to the apple store really all that bad? Have a friend who was traveling and several of his applications wouldn't work. Since he couldn't reboot it by turning it off and then on again I suggested he delete the offending apps and reinstall. It worked. Blackberrys act up but a reboot almost always works. We just take the battery out, count to 10 without swearing and then put it back in.

T, it's only bad because it's a long drive. :) In this case, I'm sure it's an equip failure. Full restore of all apps, failure with only base applications... etc.
