I Don't Trust The Posterous Numbers

I've been meaning to check this for a long time, and finally got around to it. The numbers that Posterous displays for views of their posts have always seemed too high to me. I had installed Google Analytics on the site a long time ago, but I've never really checked them. I was looking at another of my sites today and decided to take a look. I used a post that was a over a year old for the comparison. Google shows the number of views as 654. Posterous shows the same post has been viewed 4013 times.

Either one of them is wrong, or their not measuring the same thing. That said, there is nothing being measured by Google for that post that even comes close to 4013. What's up, Posterous?

First Test Of New Noise Reduction Filter in PS Express

Adobe unleashed a major update to their Photoshop Express iPhone app today. "Noise Reduction" is an in app upgrade filter. I have not even looked at these side by side on the computer yet, but the noise reduction looks pretty good on the iPhone. You be the judge.

The first photo is the original. The second has the nois reduction applied. To compare, hover over one of the images and then click on the full screen icon in the lower right hand corner. You will then be able to toggle back and forth.

Major Update To PictureShow iPhone App

PictureShow moved to version 3.0 today, gaining three new frames, three new noise filters, in app cropping, tilt shit (don't like their implementation) and limited "HDR" capability (use Pro HDR instead), and the ability to save your favorite "recipes."

They took away the ability to select a lens filter directly, which I miss, but the ability to save custom combos makes up for the loss. Love this app.
